| Charles E "Chuck" Bane of Ellsworth IL was a prominent racer in the 1920s and 1930s choosing to compete primarily on the "I and I" circuit of Illinois and Indiana. He gave up racing after being seriously injured in an accident and it is believed that "Hughie" Hughes drove the car for Bane after that. | |||
